Pitt Secures Official Visit from Extremely Fast-Rising 2026 OL

The Pitt coaching staff has secured a visit from one of the most highly sought-after offensive linemen in the class of 2026.
Wilson Zierer — a 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee in Rabun Gap, Ga. — announced Monday that he will be taking an official visit to Pitt from June 4-6. He’s already set up official visits to Georgia (May 16) and Auburn (May 30).
Zierer holds offers from Auburn, Alabama, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Duke, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Kansas State, Kentucky, Liberty, Memphis, Miami (Oh.), Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, UCF, USF and Virginia Tech.

Pitt was one of the first programs to show interest in Zierer, inviting him to the Backyard Brawl win against West Virginia last fall, and the Panthers officially extended his second Power Four offer — behind only UCF.
Offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau officially extended Zierer his offer on Jan. 16, and he went down to visit the fast-rising prospect in person on Jan. 21.
Since the visit, just about every school in the country has extended an offer.
It’s not a surprise, though. Zierer is a mauler at the point of attack, leading a balanced Rabun Gap-Nacoochee offense that won 11 games last season. He’s a big, athletic prospect with plenty of speed and strength — and the perfect frame to add more mass.
Zierer hasn’t been ranked by the major recruiting services yet, so he’s technically an unranked recruit, but with the influx of interest from around the country, there’s a possibility he will enter the rankings as a four-star right off the bat. He’s one of the fastest rising recruits in the class.
Pitt is currently slated to host four-star offensive lineman Day’Jon Moore (Willis, Tx.) from June 12-14, and there will certainly be a handful more offensive linemen who make it out to Pittsburgh this summer.
Pitt has secured two commitments in the class of 2026, starting the class strong with a commitment from three-star quarterback Angelo Renda (Southlake, Tx.) and adding three-star safety Isaac Patterson (Westerville, Ohio) last week.
