There was an expectation that Nahki Johnson would take that next step last season.
He won the Ed Conway Award in the spring, earning praise from the coaching staff and his teammates alike, and it seemed like Johnson was going to use a good week of Sun Bowl prep as a launchpad toward success. You know, the next great WPIAL pass rusher.
It didn’t happen. I don’t think the season went how anyone at Pitt wanted last season, but it’s going to be different in 2024. At least, it will for Johnson.
