It’s a big weekend for the Duquesne basketball program.
Keith Dambrot and company are hosting Kennedy Catholic 3-star guard Maceo Austin on his official visit.
Back in August, Austin announced that his final four teams were Duquesne, Northwestern, Penn State and VCU. It’s impress that Duquesne made his cut considering he also had offers from Dayton, St. Joseph’s, Virginia, West Virginia and Xavier.
Austin fits the mold of the player Dambrot wants to coach: versatile, good defensively and a local product.
Kennedy Catholic is a basketball factory and being able to land someone like Austin would be a big recruiting win for Duquesne and give their recruiting efforts plenty of momentum.
In fact, I really like Duquesne’s chances of landing him.
