Pat Narduzzi did plenty of impressive things in his first year as Pitt head coach.
Today he did something impressive on the recruiting trail by outrecruiting one of the top teams in college football.
Minutes ago, 4-star athlete George Hill (Hubbard, Ohio) announced his verbal commitment to Pitt. Hill selected Pitt over Michigan State, Wisconsin and Nebraska.

Up until today, most recruiting experts had Hill (6-0, 185) going with Michigan State. However, Hill decided to go with Narduzzi and Pitt.
This is arguably Narduzzi’s most impressive recruiting win. Him and his staff were able to turn a recruit that was leaning towards Michigan State. Keep in mind, Hill was originally Ohio State’s first commitment this year before de-committing .
Hill’s official visit to Pitt was a big factor along with the fact that he’ll have the chance to play both offense and defense. Â The impact and success of freshman Jordan Whitehead helped Pitt land a special recruit.
Hill is Pitt’s third 4-star recruit for the Class of 2016 (Rueben Flowers and Kaezon Pugh) compared to only 2 last year (Jordan Whitehead and Darrin Hall).

Hill is Pitt’s 17 verbal commitment this year and 5th recruit from the state of Ohio (Chawntez Moss, Thomas MacVittie, Bryce Hargrove, Ruben Flowers).
Hill has the skill and speed to make an immediate impact at Pitt.
