Thursday Pitt/WPIAL Recruiting News

Let’s get right into things-

**Fla DE/TE Rashad Weaver will arrive in Pittsburgh this morning to start an official visit.  Weaver will stay here till Saturday morning and then travel to Penn State for a visit till Sunday.  Weaver was recruit who just de-committed from Michigan after getting a raw deal from Jim Harbaugh.   Weaver told me last night that Tim Salem is his recruiter at Pitt.

UPDATE (10:33 AM)-

**It appears as though Pitt is on the outside looking in  with K’Von Wallace.  The Virginia athlete said today that he’s visiting Clemson today and Ohio State over the weekend.  Originally he was scheduled to visit Pitt over the weekend.

UPDATE (10:57 AM)-

**Chris Peak of Pantherlair is reporting that 4-star WR Darnell Salomon is not visiting Pitt this weekend.  Reasons are a bit sketchy.  I have a message in Salomon and hope to have more info soon.

UPDATE (11:19 AM)-

**The Pitt coaching staff has offered another prospect from the state of Ohio.  Trey Pugh (6-5, 225) is a tight end from Plain City, Ohio.  Pugh is a 3-star prospect with offers from Duke, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Penn State and West Virginia.

UPDATE (1:35 PM)-

**For those wondering if Pitt is going to land DE Quayshon Alexander, I can tell you that the answer is No.  Reason for that is, I’m told that Pitt is no longer recruiting him.  I’m guessing that the Pitt staff is putting Alexander in the same category as Robert Washington.

UPDATE (2:08 PM)-

**The Pitt coaches are putting the full court press on Damar Hamlin. Today, Pat Narduzzi and Rob Harley stopped by Central Catholic H.S. today.   Tonight, Narduzzi and his assistants will have their in-home visit with him. Then tomorrow, Hamlin will spend the weekend on Pitt’s campus around the coaches, Pitt players and other recruits.

**Steel Valley 2017 RB DeWayne Murray picked up an offer from Buffalo.

Pat Narduzzi and Rob Harley with an in-home visit this afternoon with Va linebacker Chase Pine.  Big news coming out of meeting tonight is Pine told me he’s NOT making an official visit this weekend to any school. Pine was planning on doing so before talking with Narduzzi and Harley.

Update (6:02 PM)-

**Pitt offered a BIG TIME defensive end this afternoon.  Luiji Vilian is from Alexandria, Virginia and is rated as the 4th best DE in the Class of 2017. Vilian is a 4-star recruit and rated as one of the top 100 players in the country.

Tonight Bricen Garner hosting Renaldo Hill, Rob Harley, Pat Narduzzi and Josh Conklin

UPDATE (9:05 PM)-

**Just got a message from Virginia athlete K’Von Wallace.  Despite the rumors that are out there, he tells me that he hasn’t eliminated Pitt.  However, Wallace did visit Clemson today and will visit Ohio State this weekend.
