Pitt Could Be It For Bright

Alabama linebacker Cam Bright was one of a few prospects to visit the Pitt Panther football program today. To say that Bright enjoyed himself would be an understatement.

Bright and his mother made the flight from Montgomery, Alabama this morning and spent most of the day at the South Side with Pitt coaches. Shortly after the finishing up his dinner, I had a chance to talk to Bright about his day in Pittsburgh.

“My overall impression was a shock. I knew the visit was going to be good, but it turned out to be over my expectations. It was a great experience”, said Bright.

What stood out to you most about the visit?

“The love from the coaches stood out the most to me. It felt like family there! Also, them sharing fields and practicing next to NFL players surprised me the most, you get a chance to learn from the best, and be around the best everyday”, said Bright.

What coaches did you spend time with and what was your impression of them?

“I met Coach Hill, Coach Harley and Coach Narduzzi.  I had the same impression for them all which was a good impression. I’d known Coach Hill & Harley prior to the visit, but I just met Coach Narduzzi today.  He’s a good man, with a great personality outside of football.”

What was your moms impression?

“My mom loved the visit, she loved the life skills advisor Mr. Penny the most. And she loved what the university had to offer me as a student-athlete”, said Bright.

So what’s next for you and is a commitment possible?

“The whole coaching staff is great, it felt just like a family. Committing is up in the air, only time will tell. However, I will be coming back to Pitt for a camp this Sunday!”

Although he didn’t say so, I would be SHOCKED if we didn’t see a “Pat Signal” this weekend.   Actually, I’m expecting a couple commitments this coming weekend.
