Thursday Pitt Recruiting Notes

Yesterday was another big day of viewership on the site! Thanks to you, we recorded higher numbers from the previous day. Thank you. Slow but steady we’re building this thing!!

I have a feeling today could be the calm before the storm for the Pitt football team. By that I mean, I’m anticipating a lot of recruiting news this weekend for Pitt.

**Today will be a big day for the Pitt coaches as they take part in a Michigan football camp that’s taking place in Georgia.   Considering the Panthers have been recruiting in Georgia and nearby states, this will give Pitt some good exposure with tons of talented prospects and possibly recruits that they’ve already offered.

Georgia players with Pitt offers: 2018 DT Josh Walker (Carrollton, Georgia), 2017 WR Corey Reed (Atlanta, Georgia), 2017 DT Ellison Hubbard (Loganville, Georgia), 2017 DE Michael Allen (Sugar Hill, Georgia), 2017 DE Drew Jordan (Suwanee, Georgia), 2017 LB Solon Page III (Marietta, Georgia), 2017 CB William Poole III (Atlanta, Georgia), 2017 CB Jaytlin Askew (Powder Springs, Georgia), 2017 WR Connor Heyward (Suwanee, Georgia)

UPDATE (9:05 AM)-

**Harrisburg 2018 WR Shaquon Anderson-Butts, a big target for Pitt, told me that he will be visiting Pittsburgh in the next couple of weeks. Anderson-Butts isn’t exactly sure of the exact date but will check out Pitt.

UPDATE (9:21 AM)-

**4-star 2017 7-foot center Victor Uyaelunmo tells me that he’ll be visiting Pitt sometime in the next couple of weeks. Uyaelunmo (Miami, Florida) currently holds offers from Florida, Florida State, Miami, Memphis, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Illinois.

Late last night, I talked to Uyaelunmo about his current relationship with Pitt.

“It’s pretty good, Coach Sutton is recruiting me. I’m going to visit this June, I’m going to check them out. I really like Coach Sutton, he has been recruiting me for a while now,” said Uyaelunmo.

“I want to be able to go to a school where I would be able to develop my skills. And I think Coach Stallings has had some good bigs in the past that he’s developed. So I’m hoping to keep getting better and have a great time in college.”

**UPDATE (10:06 AM)-

**Just talked with big 2017 DT Zeb Wright from Wilmington, Delaware who told me that he spoke with Pitt this morning. Wright (6-3, 310) is still hoping for an offer from Pitt and believes one could be close.

“Coach Tom Sims came to my school a couple weeks back and told me that they really have their eyes on me and for me to remain patient”, said Wright.

“I believe they want to see me in action first. I’ll  be attending a few camps and I expect an offer soon.”

“Coach Sims said he couldn’t say too much but that they really like me.”

UPDATE (3:45 PM)-

**2017 forward Luka Garza (6-11, 215) from Washngton, DC, told me that he will be making a visit to Pitt soon. Garza says that he plans to visit sometime this month, is in the process of finalizing a date. Kevin Stallings and his staff offered this big man early and I’m told that assistant Tom Richardson is his main recruiter. Garza holds offers from Louisville, Northwestern, Penn State, Iowa and Alabama.

UPDATE (3:55 PM)-

**The Pitt coaches took advantage of their time in Georgia today by offering a big-time talent. Jeremiah Holloman (6-3, 190) from Covington, Georgia, is a wide receiver with a very, very impressive list of offers. Schools like Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina are in on this talented prospect. I’ll have an interview with Holloman shortly with his reaction to Pitt.

UPDATE (8:39 PM)-

**Kevin Stallings have offered 2017 small forward Anthony Polite from Boca Raton, Florida. Polite also has offers from Texas A&M, Memphis, Miami, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Florida State.
