** The Pitt coaching staff made an interesting move last night. They extended an offered to a player that’s already committed to another school.
Late last night, JaVonte Richardson, who’s already given a verbal to Kentucky, announced that he received an offer from Pitt. Richardson (6-4, 205) is a 4-star athlete from Maple Heights, Ohio and ranked as one of the Top 100 players in the country. Richardson gave his commitment to Kentucky back in March. Will Richardson consider the offer from Pitt or is he fully committed to Kentucky?

** Detroit, Michigan 3-star safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell, who holds over 30+ offers including one from Pitt, says that he won’t make his college decision until after his high school season is over with.

** Congragulations to McKeesport 3-star DE Antoine Cook who gave a verbal commitment today to Youngstown State.

** Pitt announced today that their annual “Fan Fest” will take place on Thursday August 25th at Heinz Field. More details will be released on Monday.
** Pitt will have some playing time available at the defensive tackle position. I’ll give you a name that Pitt coaches are quietly thinking could have an instant impact: true freshman Amir Watts. The 4-star defensive tackle from Chicago will be a freshman to watch.
