One of the top overall players in the Class of 2015 is back on the open market. Wide receiver Tyron Johnson has decided to leave the LSU football program and is looking for a new school.

Johnson’s father announced that his son is leaving LSU to find a school with a more wide open offense. The only restriction for Johnson is that LSU has blocked him from transferring to another SEC school.

As expected, many schools have already attempted to make contact with this former 5 star player. Interestingly, Pitt WR coach Kevin Sherman is one of 14 coaches to start following Johnson on Twitter yesterday. The other schools were Virginia Tech, Central Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Penn State, Syracuse, Kansas, Tulane, South Carolina, Washington State, Oklahoma, Nebraska and West Virginia.

The 2 schools that were finalists for Johnson before he decided on LSU were Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.

Johnson was LSU’s #1 recruit in their 2015 class and ranked as the #2 overall wide receiver.
