A couple of days after hosting a number of big recruits, Pat Narduzzi and his staff will be hosting a major target today.

“I’ve been talking with Pitt for a good while probably since November when they offered me a scholarship. It’s been an ongoing process. I made it to a game when they played Virginia Tech and also made it up for Pitt’s Junior Day. I’ve been talking mostly with Coach Powell because he recruits the Maryland area. Him and I have a really good connection,” said Morgan.

I asked Morgan the thing that he likes most about Pitt and top reason he has interest in them.

“I’d have to say trust. I know that Coach Narduzzi and Coach Powell are stand up guys. They’ve been one of the top schools recruiting me and I know that despite them recruiting other players, they’re going to always be there for me and have my back. Coach Powell is just somebody I can talk to anytime. Pitt is a family type school and I really like that about them.”

Aside from the coaching staff, Pitt has another thing that Morgan has interest in and is going to check it out on his visit today.

“I want to talk to some of the school staff about my major which is going to be physical therapy. I want to take a trip up to the hospital, and also see the campus.”

Morgan is a 247 Sports 3-star defensive end with offers from Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State.

“I’m thinking about trying to end my recruitment before the season but if I don’t, it will be right after our conference games but I’ll try to end it before then.”
