Jacques-Louis Puts Pitt in Top Five
The Pitt football program has a history producing great wide receivers and that’s one reason a talented wide out from Florida has the Panthers in his top five.
Fort Myers (Fla.) 3-star wide receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis (6-foot, 170 pounds) came out with his top five list and the Panthers were in it.
Aside from Pitt, Jacques-Louis listed Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky and Missouri. The play-making wide receiver also held offers from Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Michigan State.
It should be mentioned that Jacques-Louis was committed to Kentucky but decommitted from them a few weeks ago.
This morning, PSN spoke with Jacques-Louis about Pitt and other things.

“I got an offer from Pitt before ended. Coach Harley has been keeping in touch with me. He’s seems like a really cool person and we’ve been talking a lot lately along with Coach Sherman,” said Jacques-Louis.
“I’ve been doing some research on the school because I want to get into law enforcement and they’re one of the top in the country. Plus, Pitt produces good receivers and players in their offense produce big yards and achieve a lot of accomplishments.”
After watching his film, it’s easy to imagine Jacques-Louis being a player that would excel in Pitt’s player-friendly system.
“I’m a player that can create space, I’m very athletic, have good vision and I’m really fast. It’s not the fast that you know I’m fast, it’s the kind that you have to run beside me to see it. I have long strides and some people will say he doesn’t look like he’s running that fast but when they get near me, I’m gone,” said Jacques-Louis.
As you’d imagine, attempting to narrow his long list of offers down to five wasn’t easy but in the end, a lot of it came down to which schools were paying the most attention and showing the most interest in Jacques-Louis.
The Florida receiver tells me that he’s still open to other offers but for now, this is the list of schools that he’s concentrating on. Jacques-Louis also plans on making all five of his official visits.
Does he have a leader? I asked him that because some are pointing to Tennessee as the team to beat.
“People are predicting that because Tennessee sends me edits all the time and I post them. The other schools don’t do that a lot but when they do I post their school too.”
“All of my top five schools have an equal chance.”
“One of my dreams about college is the opportunity to play early and have the opportunity to shine. To be honest, I don’t watch a ton of football, playing football is what’s fun for me. I just love the sport and playing the game.”
“I want to try and get on the field as soon as I can and Pittsburgh is a wonderful place. My mom always tells me college is not all about football, it’s also about your education and Pittsburgh has my major that I want.”
