Jeff Capel had a lofty reputation as a recruiter prior to accepting the head coaching position at Pitt. One of the major recruiting sites actually ranked him the top recruiter in the nation. Capel is two months at the helm of the Panther program and he has done nothing to diminish his lofty reputation. To be a bit more direct, Jeff Capel and his staff are on fire. They have nearly done the impossible. On Saturday, 6-foot-6 inch, 190 pound guard/small forward Au’Diese Toney, who was a junior at Trinity Christian Academy in Jasper, AL, opted to reclassify and join the Panthers’ 2018 recruiting class.
