Charlie Partridge was a busy man on Wednesday, as Pitt’s assistant head coach and ace recruiter was all over South Florida and offered scholarships to seven underclassmen in the Sunshine State.

Here’s a breakdown of where Partridge was and which players received Pitt offers.

2021 WR ROMELLO BRINSON

Pitt landed two players from Miami Northwester High School in the Class of 2019 in linebacker Leslie Smith and defensive tackle Calijah Kancey, and Pitt is going back to the well looking for more in the future.

The Panthers offered sophomore wide receiver Romello Brinson. Brinson is listed at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds and plays big for his weight. He has offers from Colorado State, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Miami, Syracuse, Toledo and Western Kentucky, with the hometown Hurricanes currently leading the way, but there’s a long way to go before the sophomore has to make a decision.

2021 DB KAMREN KINCHENS

On the other side of the ball for the Northwestern Bulls, sophomore defensive back Kamren Kinchens drew the eye of Pitt’s coaching staff. Pitt is the third team offer Kinchens, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound safety, joining Louisville and Toledo.

2021 LB TERRENCE LEWIS

Terrence Lewis is another sophomore from Miami Northwestern that Partridge likes. The unrated, 6-foot-1, 185-pound linebacker has offers from Florida Atlantic, Kent State, Miami, Toledo and Western Kentucky.

2020 DE WATI HUGGINS

Pitt became the third school to extend an offer to Wati Huggins, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive end from Booker T. Washington High School in the Overtown neighborhood of Miami. Huggins also holds offers from Baylor and Syracuse. He has not yet been rated.

⭐⭐⭐⭐2021 WR JACOREY BROOKS

Huggins’ teammate, sophomore wide receiver Jacorey Brooks, also picked up a Pitt offer. Brooks is 6-foot-3, 170 pounds and is rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 6 player in Florida according to 247 Sports.

He has an offer list to back up that ranking, with Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, NC State, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse and Tennessee all after Brooks.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020 CB DEMORIE TATE

Demorie Tate, a junior cornerback from Freedom High School in Orlando, Florida, committed to Florida State back in June, but has still been collecting offers and the Panthers are the latest team to show interest in his services.

Tate is 6-foot-2, 189 pounds, is a consensus four-star prospect and the No. 30 player in Florida according to 247 Sports composite. He also has offers from Florida Atlantic, Tennessee and UCF in addition to the Seminoles.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2020 WR MARCUS FLEMING

At Miami Southridge High School, Pitt extended an offer to junior wide receiver Marcus Fleming. Fleming, who is 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, committed to Miami back in June, but of course, the Hurricanes have an entirely new offensive staff since then.

Besides Pitt and Miami, the four-star receiver has offers from Appalachian State, Arkansas, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, NC State, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Southern Miss, South Florida, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Toledo, UAB, UCF and Vanderbilt.

2022 DE SHEMAR STEWART

Shemar Stewart, a freshman defensive end from Monsignor Pace High School in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Panthers are the first Division I team to extend an offer to the young lineman, who is 6-foot-5 and 227 pounds.

⭐⭐⭐ 2020 DT ISAIAH RAIKES

Not to let Partridge have all the fun, Pitt was also active on the East Coast. The Panthers offered 2020 St. Augustine Prep (Richland, New Jersey) defensive tackle Isaiah Raikes. Raikes (6-foot-1, 270 pounds) is a consensus three-star prospect and the No. 17 prospect in New Jersey according to 247 Sports composite ratings.

Raikes has offers from Baylor, Cincinnati, Duke, Kent State, Louisville, Rutgers, Temple, UMass, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
