It’s anyone’s guess what Aliquippa cornerback MJ Devonshire’s final decision will be. Which makes this week all the more interesting.
This is the last full week before the final National Signing Day on February 6 and Devonshire will have a busy week meeting with coaches.
Over the weekend, Devonshire and his family made an official visit to Kentucky and I’m told that they were impressed with the people along with great facilities.
What’s next for Devonshire?
Today, he’ll be getting a visit at school from West Virgina head coach Neal Brown. For a long time, the Mountaineers were Devonshire’s top school until former coach Dana Holgorsen stopped recruiting him. Brown has started recruiting him again and will try and get him to visit the school this weekend.
On Tuesday, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops will make the trip to Beaver County and try to keep the momentum going from this weekends visit.
On Thursday, Pitt coaches are scheduled to stop by to talk with Devonshire and I’d anticipate Pat Narduzzi making his in-home visit next week.
At this point, it appears to be a three team race between Pitt, West Virginia and the newcomer Kentucky. Devonshire isn’t expected to make his decision public until next Wednesday.
