The latest name that we’ve confirmed that will be in town this weekend for Pitt Junior Day is Andre Parker.

Parker (6’2″, 185) is a 2020 dual-threat quarterback from Woodbury High School in Woodbury, New Jersey. Parker is looking for his first D-I offer but is someone that’s been in contact with the Pitt staff for a while.

“I’ve been talking about Coach Sanders for about two years,” Parker told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “They invited me to a couple games and I’ve been able to attend one of them. I’m really looking forward to coming to Junior Day in order to really meet the coaching staff, definitely Coach Narduzzi. I want to see their facilities, the weight room and Heinz Field.”

Another person that Parker is really excited to meet is new offensive coordinator Mark Whipple.

“Definitely, that’s the top thing that I’m thinking about. I want to get to meet him and hear what he thinks of me and my game. I’d like to see and hear from them on where I stand with them,” said Parker. “I believe the strength of my game is my ability to extend plays, with my legs and my arm.”

Right now, Parker tells me that he’s hearing from East Carolina, Temple, Monmouth and Akron.

“Possibly getting an offer from Pitt would just be great because Pitt is the big stage.”
