The ACC announced the time and television broadcasts for two more of Pitt’s games on Thursday, and both of them will be broadcast on ESPN in prime time.

Pitt’s game on Friday, Oct. 18 at Syracuse will kick off at 7 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN and the Panthers home date with North Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 14, will kick off at 8 p.m. and also be broadcast on ESPN.

Those announcements came one day after the conference announced on Wednesday that Pitt’s season opener at home against Virginia on Saturday, Aug. 31 will be broadcast ay 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network, giving Pitt at least three night games in the 2019 season.

The last time that happened in the regular season was in 2015, when Pitt played at Akron, at Iowa and against North Carolina at night.

Here is Pitt’s full 2019 schedule, with opponents, dates, kickoff times and television listings:

I wonder who had the incredible lack of foresight to schedule a Thursday night game the same night that the Steelers play on Thursday night (at Cleveland).

Yeah, that’s pretty short sighted. Honestly, I didn’t realize that. I wish Pitt would stop with the Thursday night games at Heinz Field. They’ve never drawn a good crowd. Very little benefit for recruits and fans to watch them on TV in front of an empty stadium. Also, just from memory, they don’t win many of these games either.
