Duquesne’s 2019-20 basketball schedule came a little bit more into focus on Thursday, as the Dukes announced that they’re playing a non-conference game in Cleveland and the Atlantic-10 announced its schedule pairings for the season.

The Dukes will travel to Cleveland, Ohio for a non-conference game against Marshall in the second-half of a neutral-site doubleheader on Sunday, Dec. 29. The game will have an evening tip-off and will be preceded by a game between Ohio State and West Virginia at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the home of the NBA’s Cavaliers.

Duquesne had already announced three games in Bimini, Bahamas from November 21-24. The Dukes will face Indiana State, Air Force and Loyola Marymount on that trip.

In Atlantic-10 play, the Dukes will see five conference opponents twice in 2020, as the 14-team A-10 plays an 18-game conference schedule.

Dayton, Fordham, George Washington, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis are the Dukes’ double opponents for 2020. They’ll only visit UMass, Rhode Island, St. Joseph’s and VCU, while Davidson, George Mason, La Salle and will make the trip to Pittsburgh.

Duquesne's 2024 March Madness Tournament coverage is sponsored by Leon's Billiards & More, Moon Golf Club and Archie's on Carson! Their contributions have allowed us to cover the Dukes run in Omaha, Nebraska. We appreciate their support!

The location of those games is still yet to be determined. The Dukes will be without a home court this season as the A.J. Palumbo Center is being torn down and replaced by the UPMC Chuck Cooper Fieldhouse.

Most of the Dukes home games are expected to be played at PPG Paints Arena, but the Pittsburgh Penguins have not released their schedule yet.

The Dukes are coming off a 19-13 season in Keith Dambrot’s second season as head coach. It was Duquesne’s first year with a winning record since 2010-11.

Here’s the portions of Duquesne’s 2019-20 schedule that have been announced:
