Another week, another deluge of commitments for Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt football team.

This evening, 2020 Palm Beach Lakes, FL defensive tackle Timothy Brown made it official and committed to the Panthers. Brown was one of ten official visitors to Pitt this weekend, and one of the first of the six (as of this writing) to commit.

Brown, a 6-foot-2.5, 246-pound defensive tackle is ranked as a 3-star on the 247 composite and is the 48th ranked defensive tackle in the nation.

The Florida prospect boasts an offer sheet filled with Power 5 schools from all the major conferences. Auburn, Miami, Penn State, Florida State, West Virginia, Florida and Nebraska are some of the biggest names among his many offers.

The fact that Pitt beat out so many top level SEC, Big 10 and ACC schools for Brown’s commitment really emphasizes the viability of the Panthers’ Florida recruiting strategy.
