Pitt All 105: DL Keyshon Camp

Published

on

All 105 is a Pittsburgh Sports Now series profiling each of the 105 members of Pitt’s 2019 training camp roster.

10 • Keyshon Camp, redshirt junior defensive lineman

Last year: Played in seven games and made three starts at defensive tackle before suffering a season-ending knee injury at Notre Dame.

Stats: Finished with 14 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 1/2 tackles for a loss.

Accolades, Highlights:

Was a third-team All-Florida Class-6A and rated as the consensus No. 26 defensive tackle in the country coming out of Lakeland High School.

Camp outlook: Camp comes to camp looking to re-gain his starting job after missing time with an injury, but it’s not going to be an easy task. Senior Amir Watts and highly touted youngster Jaylen Twyman both impressed with strong play in 2018.

Projected role: Regardless of who starts, Camp is going to play a lot as defensive line coach Charlie Partridge called all three top tackles starts. With the injury to Rashad Weaver, maybe Camp will play some end, as well.
