2020 Forward Elijah Taylor to Visit Pitt

An athletic forward from Philadelphia has scheduled an official visit to Pitt.

2020 3-star center Elijah Taylor from Imhotep Charter School will visit Pitt the weekend of September 20-22. This is also the same weekend that New York 4-star point guard RJ Davis is making his official visit.

Taylor (6’8”, 215) is the type of athletic, versatile forward that Jeff Capel is looking to add to his front court as he’ll be able to play center and either forward position in college.

Taylor has scheduled the following official visits over the next month: VCU this weekend, Seton Hall August 28-30, Florida September 6-8, Notre Dame September 13-15 and Pitt September 20-22.

Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Taylor to get his thoughts on making a visit to Pitt.

”Pitt fits my prerequisites for a college both academically and athletic speaking so that really peaked my interest. Plus, they’ve actually shown real interest by Coach Capel and Coach O’Toole calling me. They’ve come out here and they really want me at Pitt. All of that compelled me to come make a visit to see what it’s like,” said Taylor.

“They’ve described to me how the program is changing and that I can be a difference maker. They’ve described to me that my role would be an intergal piece into what they’re trying to build there.”

Next weekend, Pitt will be hosting 3-star forward Noah Collier on his official visit, who’s a similar type player to Taylor.

Imhotep? Move along. We don’t pay for players so he won’t be committing.
