Die-Hards: Pitt Staff Looking at New Group of 2020 Recruits

Published

on

With 17 current commitments and only a couple spots left, it was assumed that Pitt was pretty much done recruiting for their Class of 2020 but that’s apparently not the case.

Today, Pittsburgh Sports Now learned some new information about a handful of players that the Pitt assistants and Pat Narduzzi himself have contacted over the last couple of days. The other interesting thing we’ve learned is that Pitt really wants to add at least one and probably two more offensive lineman.

Here’s some notes and these new group of players plus a few more recruiting notes including one on Georgia 3-star quarterback Tate Rodemaker.

The state of Florida is Pitt’s top recruiting territory and the Panther staff has their eyes set on some potentially available recruits from one of the Sunshine State’s top programs.

Ever since it was announced last week that Florida State fired head coach Willie Taggart, the Pitt coaches have been targeting a number of their current 2020 commitments.

This morning, we had an interview with elite cornerback Derek Bermudez, who decommitted from the Seminoles on Monday. Since then, we’ve learned that he’s not the only player in Florida State’s Class of 2020 that Narduzzi and Pitt have been in touch with.
