Atlantic-10 Postpones 2020 Fall Sports; Makes Plans for Spring Play

Published

The Atlantic-10 Conference has postponed its 2020 fall sports conference competitions and championships due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the conference announced on Friday.

For Duquesne, the decision impacts the Dukes cross country, soccer and volleyball teams. The A-10 does not sponsor football. Duquesne plays as an associate member of the Northeast Conference.

The A-10 intends to re-assess fall sports in mid-September, with the possibility of restarting at that point or postponing competitions until the spring. The league does not intend to cancel any competitions at this time.

The decision does not impact the start of winter sports, which are scheduled to begin with basketball in early November.
