To make this argument work Coach has to show how he will prevent these choices from hurting others. I could say I understand the dangers of driving one hundred miles an hour on the turnpike and am willing to take that risk, but the troopers aren’t going to allow that.
I do think it is possible to minimize the risks of covid spread associated with playing sports. Things such as:empty stands, covid testing, quarantining, etc. All that will cost dollars, so community support is vital. This level of support exists at the college level.
