PSN Poll: Grading Pitt’s New Steel Gray Alternate Uniform

Pitt’s unveiling on Sunday of their new steel gray alternate uniform, that will be worn this weekend vs. Louisville, has been the talk of Twitter over the last 24 hours.

These dark gray uniforms and a light gray helmet with a dark gray Panther head logo will pay tribute to the city’s steelworking industry. There is a gold patch with a blacksmith working on an anvil on the front of the uniform and an “H2P” patch evocative of the US Steel logo on the sleeves.

The university didn’t waste a minute getting these made available to public as it was announced today that local Dick’s Sporting Goods stores already have these gray alternate merchandise in stock.
