Penn State Latest To Offer Perry 2022 4-Star DE Tyreese Fearbry

James Franklin and Penn State have gotten off to a tremendous start with recruiting for the Class of 2022 with eight commitments, all of which are 4-star recruits.

This quick start has the Nittany Lions currently ranked #2 in the Rivals 2022 Team Rankings. A big part of this start has been the success in recruiting in Pennsylvania.

Of Penn State’s eight commitments, four are from Pennsylvania. It should be noted that all these players are all from Eastern Pennsylvania: 4-star wide receiver Mekhi Flowers (Harrisburg), 4-star offensive tackle Drew Shelton (Downington), 4-star DE Ken Talley (Philadelphia) and 4-star wide receiver Anthony Ivey (Lancaster).

The Nittany Lions latest offer to a 4-star recruit will be a bit more challenging, as he’s from Western Pennsylvania.

Terry Smith and the Penn State staff extended an offer Tuesday morning to 2022 4-star defensive end Tyreese Fearbry (6-foot-5, 215) from Perry Traditional Academy in Pittsburgh. In all likelihood, Fearbry will  be the highest rated player from the WPIAL this recruiting season.

Along with Penn State, Fearbry also holds offers from Pitt, Arizona State, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Pitt was the first program to offer Fearbry and will be having Cory Sanders and Charlie Partridge recruiting him. Two years ago, Pitt successfully recruited 4-star defensive end Dayon Hayes from Westinghouse and will try to land the next star from the City League.

Play at Pitt as part of a deep defensive line, which should allow him to showcase his skills and end up in the NFL. Plus Coach Donald in the offseason?! H2P
