Pitt has had recent history recruiting quarterbacks from New Jersey and now the program has its eyes on a talented sophomore from The Garden State.
On Tuesday, Tim Salem extended an offer to Class of 2023 quarterback Marco Lainez III (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) from the Hun School in Princeton, New Jersey. This becomes his sixth Division-I offer with the others coming from Iowa, Michigan State, West Virginia, UMass and Princeton.
After receiving the news of his latest offer, Pittsburgh Sports Now spoke with Lainez to get this thoughts and found out that he’s quite familiar with Pitt, including their current quarterback Kenny Pickett, and his skills coach Tony Racioppi.
