The newest addition to Pitt’s 2022 recruiting board is Sencire Harris, a four-star guard prospect who is ranked as the No. 89 player in the nation according to 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Harris is a 6-foot-4, 165-pound point guard from Akron, Ohio, who plays for St. Vincent-St. Mary and Wildcats Select, an AAU program based in the Pittsburgh area. Harris is a lengthy guard with a smooth handle who can score on the inside and out. He has tremendous speed coming through the lane and even though his frame is still pretty slim he is a solid finisher through contact. He has a smooth lefty jumper and sets up his teammates well.

“I play with a lot of energy and I have a fast pace,” Harris told Pittsburgh Sports Now. “My shooting is good. I have been working on making it better. My finishing ability is great. People say I play like Russell Westbrook a lot. I take a lot of pride in my defense, too.”

In addition to Pitt, Harris is also receiving interest from Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Butler, Arkansas, Florida, and many more. While he does not know whether or not he wants to play close to home yet, he did say that he wants to play somewhere where he can play a large role early on in his college career.

“I want to go somewhere where I can come in as a freshman and start,” he added. “Somewhere I could fit in and play at a fast pace, get up-and-down.”

Milan Brown reached out to Harris this past weekend for the first time, telling him that the Panthers were interested in building a relationship and recruiting him.

“He told me that he liked my game and that they have interest in me,” Harris said. “I heard that Pitt is a great program and they play my style, an up-and-down type of game. I am looking for a school that plays at a fast pace.”
