MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Pitt head coach Jeff Capel and wing Will Jeffress speak with the media, including George Michalowski of Pittsburgh Sports Now, after Pitt’s 74-59 loss to West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl on Friday, Nov. 13, 2021.
This team would be pretty good if it had its full roster. The early games have been rough, but the silver-lining is that guys are getting valuable minutes that they would otherwise not be getting. The most significant example of that is Will Jeffress – who is growing at an accelerated rate. He is already a terrific defender, his offense is improving, he’s working his ass off, and he is clearly becoming a leader. He is going to be a star, and when they get guys back in the backcourt they’re going to ultimately be pretty good.
Can’t even tolerate listening to Stallings 2.0 give a press conference.
This is the second Coach has been dealt a crap hand entering a season. But 32 TO’s WOW! Can’t handle the press
No Guards
And no recruits to fill those guard spots.
