Georgia 2023 Running Back Jamal Bing Visiting Pitt Friday

The Pitt Panthers will hold their third spring practice on Friday and will be hosting an out-of-town recruit.

2023 running back Jamal Bing will travel to Pittsburgh from Hampton, Georgia for an unofficial visit. The 5’9″, 175-pound back holds a Power Five offer from Georgia Tech and is hoping to pick one up from the ACC Champions on his visit. Bing tells Pittsburgh Sports Now that he received the invite to visit from offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti, Jr.

“I feel like I’m building a solid relationship with Pitt,” said Bing. “Right now, I’m talking with three coaches from Pitt- the new OC, Coach Powell and Coach Manalac, who’s the recruiting coordinator from my area. Because of that, I’ve been talking to him the most.”

“They told me that they wanted to get me up there fast and the whole coaching staff has told me that they love the way that I play. They said that they really like my film. I recently got a follow from Coach Narduzzi, their head coach, which was cool. They really want to get me up there and see me in person. They have told me that when I come up there, they want to get to know me more and see me in person on their campus. They want me to watch one of their practices and also to have me meet all the coaches in person.”

Bing tells me that his game has improved, and he’s developed a lot as a running back over the last couple of years. In particular, he’s improved on his breakaway speed and have gotten better as a threat catching passes out of the backfield.

“I consider my strengths to be my speed, strength and balance as a back. I try and pattern myself after the games of LeSean McCoy and Alvin Kamara.”

This will be Bing’s first visit to Pittsburgh and before he leaves is hoping that he walks away with an offer from the Pitt Panthers.

“It would really mean a lot,” said Bing. “Coach Powell is telling me that I’m one of the top backs on his board and that he has to communicate with the new OC, and he’ll let me know. Pitt is a two-time ACC Coastal Champion so it would be big and I’m really looking forward to my visit.”

Pitt should have LeSean McCoy meet him when he visits.
