Huge Day Of Scholarship Offers From The Pitt Football Program

We’re into the prime season of recruiting for college football and that was certainly the case on Thursday for Pat Narduzzi and his Pitt coaching staff.

With spring practice over with, it’s all about recruiting and working to add talent for the future. The first step to doing that is offering a scholarship and the Pitt Panthers did plenty of that Thursday.

While recruiting players in the Class of 2023 is a big priority, it was the sole focus as a number of sophomores and freshman from around the country received scholarship offers from Pitt.

Here is a recap of the players that picked up offers from the ACC Champions.

**2025 running back Ousmane Kromah from Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia. Kromah has received previous offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Michigan State, South Carolina and Tennesse.

**2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. French holds offers from Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi State, Coastal Carolina, South Florida and West Virginia.

**2025 quarterback Sean Ashenfelder from Creekside High School in St. John’s, Florida. The offer from Tiquan Underwood was his first D-1 scholarship. Ashenfelder is also a standout baseball player.

**2024 cornerback Jon Mitchell from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Mitchell also has early offers from Georgia Tech and UAB.

**Freshman athlete Dallas Golden from Berkeley Prep in Tampa, Florida. Golden received the news from Tiquan Underwood and also holds an early Power Five offer from Florida State.

**The Pitt staff (Tiquan Underwood, Frank Cignetti Jr.  and Jonathan DiBiaso) offer freshman quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. (6’1″, 180) from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Jones also holds offers from Maryland, Georgia Tech and Florida A&M.

**Frank Cignetti and Charlie Partridge offer 2025 defensive lineman Elijah Griffin (6’5″, 270) from Savannah Christian Prep in Savannah, Georgia. Griffin holds early offers from Florida State, Georgia, Kentucky, Penn State, Central Florida and Coastal Carolina.

**Tiquan Underwood and Pitt extend an offer to 2023 3-star athlete Jarvis Lee from Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Lee (5’11”, 165) holds offers from Iowa State, Appalachian State, Central Michigan, Florida International, Memphis, Missouri and Washington State.

**Freshman wide receiver Edward Coleman (Calvary Day School in Savannah, Georgia) received an offer from Pitt OC Frank Cignetti. Coleman also has early offers from Florida State, Virginia Tech and Arkansas.

**A second player from Calvary Day School in Savannah, Georgia receives a Pitt offer. Frank Cignetti offers 2024 4-star tight end Michael Smith. At this stage of his recruitment, Smith also has offers from Miami, South Florida, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Nebraska, Louisville, Kentucky, Central Florida, Arkansas, West Virginia and South Florida. Smith is ranked as one of the Top 200 sophomores in the country.

**A 3rd from Pitt to a player from The Peach State. Frank Cignetti offers 2025 athlete Donovan Johnson from Savannah, Georgia. Johnson (6’2”, 185) holds offers from Arkansas, Boston College, Georgia, Iowa State, Louisville, South Carolina, Central Florida and Virginia Tech.

**Tiquan Underwood extended an offer to 2024 3-star quarterback Riley Trujillo from Jacksonville, Florida. Trujillo (6’4″, 205) holds other offers from Bowling Green, Coastal Carolina, Duke, East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Toledo and UAB.

**While in Naples, Florida today, Charlie Partridge extended an offer to 2024 wide receiver John Lee Honorat. The 5’11”, 170-pound wideout has also been offered by Iowa State, Louisville, Maryland, Florida International, Buffalo and Austin Peay

**Pitt extends an offer today to 2024 3-star defensive tackle Aaris Bethea from Erasmus Hall Campus in Brooklyn, New York. Bethea (6’3″, 250) has also received offers from West Virginia, Syracuse, Rutgers, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Maryland and Buffalo. Bethea is being recruited by Tim Salem and Charlie Partridge.

**2024 3-star defensive end Caden Brown (Brooklyn, New York) received an offer today from Tim Salem, Charlie Partridge and Pitt. Brown 6’4″, 215) also holds offers from Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple and West Virginia.

**4th offer of the day from Frank Cignetti to a player from Georgia goes to 2023 3-star DE Tavion Gadson from Savannah, Georgia. Gadson holds offers from Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

**2024 3-star athlete Kaj Sanders (Bergen Catholic in Oradell, New Jersey) receives a Pitt offer. The 6’1”, 180-pound cornerback holds other offers from Boston College, UConn, Duke, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Temple. Sanders received the offer from Tim Salem.
