Pitt’s wide receivers room took a hit with Jordan Addison entering the transfer portal this week, but it’s business as usual for Pitt’s wide receivers. And potential recruits are still rolling in.

2023 three-star wide receiver Ayden Greene (6-foot-1, 165 pounds) from Powell High School in Tennessee narrowed his list of nearly 20 offers to just a Top 5 of Pitt, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State and Arkansas.

Greene has made visits to Arkansas, Tennessee State, Virginia Tech, and Mississippi State since the beginning of March. With his new Top 5, he cut Arkansas State, Virginia, Memphis, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Greene caught 69 balls for 905 yards and eight touchdowns last season, leading the team in catches and touchdowns.

247Sports rates Greene as the 413th-ranked recruit in the class (41st-ranked wide receiver and the eighth-ranked recruit in Tennessee) while Rivals rates him as the 56th-ranked wide receiver and the 14th-ranked recruit from Tennessee.

Pitt was the first school to offer Greene back in 2021, with former wide receivers coach Brennan Marion extending the offer.

Pitt has landed in the finalist tier for a couple of 2023 recruits over the last few weeks, including: three-star tight end Vance Bolyard (Greensboro, North Carolina), three-star defensive end Kamari Burns (Columbus, Ohio), three-star cornerback Jermaine Mathews (Cincinnati, Ohio), four-star defensive end Desmond Umeozulu (Upper Marlboro, Md.), four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring (West Bloomfield, Mi.), four-star defensive end Dashawn Womack (Baltimore, Md.), three-star offensive lineman Jordan Church (Bradenton, Florida) and three-star cornerback Shelton Lewis (Stockbridge, Georgia).

Pitt’s 2023 recruiting class now includes four-star quarterback Kenny Minchey (Hendersonville, Tennessee) and three-star wide receiver Zion Fowler (Jersey City, New Jersey), and Pitt’s 2023 class will only grow in the next weeks and months.
