Back in Apri, Church released a Top 5 of Pitt, Florida State, Louisville, Tennessee and Missouri. Last weekend, Church made an official visit to Louisville.

Following that cutdown, Church told PSN, “I love the direction the program is heading,” Church told Pittsburgh Sports Now, “and the city is one I can see myself living in after football.”

Church visited Pittsburgh at the end of March, flying up for a Saturday spring practice at Heinz Field, and he spoke positively of his visit.

“My talk with Coach Borbely was good, we talked about a lot of stuff, like point of contact, the plays they do, how they run their practices,” Church told PSN in March. “… He answered all of my questions. Coach Narduzzi, we had a really down-to-earth conversation. My cousin, Shocky Jacques-Louis, played for Pitt and I was telling him about what Shocky said about Pitt, which was all good things. He asked me about what I thought about Coach Borbely and I told him that I liked him a lot.”

Church began his high school career at Dunbar High School in Fort Myers, Florida, not allowing a sack as Dunbar’s starting left tackle as a junior in 2021, before transferring to IMG ahead of this season. With All-County and All-State honors, he was one of the top overall offensive players in Florida in 2021.

The biggest storyline this weekend with Pitt is the visit of 2023 5-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams but the second is the number of offensive lineman, like Church, that will be visiting.
