Die-Hards: Zion Fowler Talks To PSN About De-Committing From Pitt

Published

on

New Jersey 3-star wide receiver Zion Fowler made the decision this week to de-commit from Pitt and open back up his recruitment.

This news came as somewhat of surprise considering Fowler as the first member of Pitt’s Class of 2023, committing back in October of 2021.

Fowler was the second recruit to de-commit this week, joining Tennessee 4-star quarterback Kenny Minchey.

Since Fowler announced this news, there’s been much speculation as to why he made this move. Was it because of Minchey? Was it because of the struggles of Pitt’s offense this season? Did other teams get involved? Mutual break?

Over the weekend, Pittsburgh Sports Now was able to catch up with Fowler to ask him about his decision.
