Pitt continues their trend of showing interest in shooting guards as well as players from the state of North Carolina.
Multiple college basketball reporters have reported on Saturday that Pitt has reached to Florida State graduate transfer guard Caleb Mills.
CBS Sports Insider Jon Rothstein tweets that along with Pitt, Mills has also heard from Arkansas, Memphis, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, Kansas, Mississippi State, Minnesota, South Carolina, Nebraska and Houston.
Last season, the 6’5″ guard averaged 13.0 points on 41% shooting, 3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals. Mills has four years of college experience, having played his first two seasons at Houston and the last two at Florida State. While at Houston, Mills earned All-AAC Freshman and All-AAC Second Team honors before leaving for Tallahassee.
In two games this season against Pitt, Mills scored 16 points and 6 rebounds, along with an 11 point and 7 rebound performance.
