Pitt has been searching around the transfer portal to fill its final two scholarship spots, and has recently reached out to a big man from the ACC.
The Panthers’ staff has now reached out to Naheem McLeod, a 7-foot-4 forward who played two seasons for Florida State.
Florida State big man Naheem McLeod told me he’s heard from these schools since entering the portal:

McLeod heard from a long list of programs, including Duquesne, Syracuse, Texas, West Virginia, Villanova, and others.
He began his career at Chipola Junior College and went on to average 4.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in his first year as a Seminole. This year, he scored 3.8 points per game and grabbed 2.7 boards per contest. McLeod is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Pitt currently has two open scholarships, and in the front court, has starting five man Federiko Federiko returning as well as the Diaz-Graham twins. Last year’s leading scorer Blake Hinson announced on Friday that he would be testing the NBA Draft waters with the option to return to Pitt if he does not pursue the professional route.
