On Wednesday, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported that Pitt basketball has another opponent locked in for the 2023-24 season.
According to Rothstein, Pitt will take on Binghamton at the Petersen Events Center on November 10.
According to Binghamton’s athletics website, the program has taken on Pitt twice in its history — once in 2009 and once in 2019. Pitt won both games by at least 25 points.
Binghamton head coach LeVell Sanders enters his third season leading the program. Last year, the Bearcats went 13-18 overall and 8-8 in America East play. This offseason, the Bearcats’ staff has brought in several talented transfers: Symir Torrence (Syracuse), Chris Walker (Little Rock), Tymu Chenery (Quinnipiac), and Nehemiah Benson (Rider).
On Tuesday, Rothstein also reported that the Panthers will also take on Jacksonville during the non-conference schedule.
Pitt basketball last took on Jacksonville in 2021, winning 64-55 at home. Jacksonville went 13-16 (6-12 ASun) last season.
