WVU Transfer Joe Toussaint Visited Pitt During Crowded, Now-Secretive Recruitment

On Tuesday, one of West Virginia’s rivals will add a transfer from the Mountaineer program in Joe Toussaint.

Toussaint will be committing to either Pitt, Texas Tech, or Kansas State on Tuesday, according to Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.

He told Pittsburgh Sports Now that he did in fact visit Pitt last Sunday. He has visited all three of the schools in his top three within the past couple of weeks since entering the transfer portal.

Toussaint’s recruitment picked up steam last week as his visits to Texas Tech, Kansas State, and Alabama were announced, as were his online meetings with the Miami and Gonzaga staffs. However, his Pitt visit was not reported until Monday, July 3.

While he was on campus at Kansas State along with fellow WVU transfer Mo Wague, K-State head coach Jerome Tang tweeted out a cryptic video, which many thought were related to a commitment from one, or both of those transfers.

After a jam-packed recruitment process over the last couple of weeks, Toussaint’s commitment decision has people around the college hoops world eager to find out where he is headed. He told PSN that he does not have a set time to commit on Tuesday. No crystal ball predictions have surfaced so far, and seemingly everyone close to the situation has been quiet about where Toussaint is headed for next season.

Stay tuned on Pittsburgh Sports Now for updates today.

where does he fit as compared to Leggett and Johnson? Starter … 6th-7th man ? doesn’t seem like he would want to play less than 15 mpg.
