Die-Hards: Predicting Pitt’s Opening Two-Deep Depth Chart Two Weeks Out

Published

on

The scrimmage that took place Saturday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex is important. It’s the second of the summer, but it’s also a major metric when it comes to evaluating rooms right now.

Both Charlie Partridge and Tiquan Underwood said that Saturday’s scrimmage would be a major part of determining how their respective depth charts will shake out entering the final week of summer camp — with the 2023 season now just under two weeks away.

The offense won the first scrimmage, with Phil Jurkovec, Christian Veilleux and Nate Yarnell hitting their deep balls and the offense as a whole not turning the ball over. It will be interesting to see who won the second — and final — scrimmage of the summer but even more so which players made individual impacts in their respective rooms.
