To this point, it’s been a relatively healthy camp for the Pitt football team.
Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
This morning while meeting with the local media before practice, head coach Pat Narduzzi announced that a player on the roster will miss the entire 2023 season due to injury. Narduzzi also said that the program will announce the name of that player in the near future.
Pittsburgh Sports Now will not speculate on which Pitt player may have suffered the season-ending injury, but it’s just another example of summer camp sometimes resulting in unforeseen and unfortunate injuries. The Pitt coaching staff often says that getting through the offseason healthy is its No. 1 priority.
Pitt opens up the 2023 season at home against Wofford in just under two weeks. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium.
Will the Pitt games still be televised now that the CW network is no longer in Pittsburgh after September 1.
I’m in Phoenix but I get every PITT game on the ACC Network via Hulu. I’m very satisfied.

That must say a heck of a lot for Pitt being a national brand if the first college football game that CW picked up will not even be broadcast in Pittsburgh.
That’s all about money, if they don’t sell out the tickets then it won’t be on tv locally.
Steelers used to do it all the time. Local black out of the game wasn’t sold out.
