Twitter Reaction to Pitt’s Horrific Loss to Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va. — Pitt is now officially off to the worst start of Pat Narduzzi’s tenure in Pittsburgh, and it’s pretty clear there’s no easy solution here.

A demoralizing loss to Virginia Tech, the fourth straight loss in a skid that’s lasted most of the month of September, has Pitt faced with a lot of unanswerable questions and decisions to make as the bye week arrives.

Pitt fans made sure to voice their opinions on social media following the loss.

Pitt had a very very narrow avenue towards creating some program sustainability after the ACC Championship. He hired Frank Cignetti. That was that.

I’ve seen enough. To go from an ACC Championship to this in 2 years tells me it was Kenny Pickett and not Narduzzi.

Pat Narduzzi said at the beginning of the season that his team's overall talent level is much higher at the present moment than it was in his first year and I don't think he realized how damning an indictment of his coaching abilities that would turn out to be.

This is Pitt’s first 1-4 start since the 2005 season. That was the first year under Dave Wannstedt and the Panthers entered the year with a preseason ranking. The Panthers are off next week and will return to action on October 14th.
