Pitt Football Offers Class of 2026 4-Star QB Dia Bell

Following the hiring of offensive coordinator, the Pitt staff didn’t waste any time getting in touch with one of the most talented sophomore quarterbacks in the country.

While recruiting in Florida, the Panthers extended an offer to Class of 2026 four-star quarterback Dia Bell from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Fla. Rivals rates Bell as a 5.9 recruit and the No. 31 overall recruit in the Class of 2026.

Pittsburgh Sports Now caught up with Bell this morning and asked about his conversation and his early impressions of Pitt.

“Coach Narduzzi and Coach Partridge were on campus yesterday,” said Bell. “They were very nice, and it was great meeting them! My Head Coach was the one that told me that I had been offered.”

“I was excited and grateful to receive an offer from Pitt! They are a school with a great football tradition. I came to a Miami v Pitt game in Pittsburgh when I was younger. They have an awesome fan base.”

The hiring of new offensive coordinator Kade Bell has the Pitt fan base energized because of the exciting offense he’ll be bringing to Pittsburgh. Coach Bell has gotten the attention of more than just the Pitt fans.

“I was even more excited because of the relationship that I already have with the new OC Coach Bell! He was one of the first people to offer me when he was at Western Carolina. He really knew my game and thought that I could work great in his offense. I’m excited for Pitt fans. They are going to be an explosive offense!”

Prior to Pitt, Bell received offers from Auburn, BYU, Florida, Houston, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State, South Florida, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
