MAC Program Sweeps Through WPIAL with Offers

On Sunday, a wave of red, black and white overtook Western Pennsylvania. One by one, offers rolled in from the Miami (OH) Redhawks for WPIAL talent.

Twelve different players from around the area announced that they received an offer from the Mid-American Conference program situated over four hours from Pittsburgh, and for many of them, it comes as their first Division I offer.

Redhawks’ head coach Chuck Martin and area recruiter Corey Brown, who serves as the defensive line coach, extended offers after several of the WPIAL players made the trip out to visit the program on Sunday.

Here’s the list of WPIAL athletes who were offered by the Redhawks on Sunday:

Brendan Alexander — Class of ’26 Lineman from Central Valley High School

Offers: Pitt, Syracuse, Bowling Green, Akron, West Virginia, Boston College, Duke, NC State, Penn State, Central Michigan, Miami (OH).

Jance Henry Jr. — Class of ’27 Running Back from Central Valley High School 

Offers: Pitt, Akron, Toledo, UNLV, Miami (OH).

Ethan Shearer — Class of ’26 Linebacker/Tight End from Central Valley High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Mekhi Ahmed — Class of ’27 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back from Central Valley High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Jayden Price — Class of ’25 Defensive Back from Seneca Valley High School

Offers: Robert Morris and Miami (OH).

Adam Gehm — Class of ’26 Tight End/Defensive End from Seneca Valley High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Cayden Parker — Class of ’26 Tight End/Defensive End from Seneca Valley High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Samir Crosby — Class of ’26 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back from Greensburg Central Catholic.

Offers: UNLV and Miami (OH).

Sean Franklin — Class of ’26 Tackle from Mars High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Nolan DiLucia — Class of ’26 Quarterback from Peters Township High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Peter Bonnet — Class of ‘26 Tackle for Avonworth High School

The Miami (OH) offer comes as his first from Division I.

Josiah Collins — Class of ’26 Defensive Lineman from Westinghouse High School

Offers: Temple and Miami (OH)

The Redhawks look to continue the WPIAL pipeline as they have frequently landed recruits from the area.

Currently on its spring practice roster, Miami (OH) boasts five different WPIAL players, which includes Corban Hondru (Peters Township), Raion Strader (Penn Hills), Brandon Lawhorn Moore (Kiski Area), Gregory Smith Jr. (Steel Valley) and Jackson Pons (Norwin).

Additionally, Braylon Littlejohn, a Butler product was signed in the Class of ’24.
