PITTSBURGH — Head coach Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt football team will travel to Nippert Stadium Saturday for a Week 2 matchup with the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Narduzzi met with the media Thursday on the South Side to preview the upcoming matchup with the Bearcats and discuss how his team is preparing for the River City Rivalry.
Narduzzi touched on the importance of this matchup for Pitt’s new-look offense and how it will handle to pressure in a loud environment and against a Power Four opponent. Quarterback Eli Holstein and the Panther will go up against a 3-3-5 look with Bearcats defensive coordinator Tyson Veidt.
The field boss also discussed the significance of the River City Rivalry and the sense of familiarity between the programs and coaches.
