Big Change in Ashton Blatt’s Official Visits

Pittsburgh Sports Now has an update on the recruitment of Central Catholic 3-star DE Ashton Blatt, one of the top defensive players in the WPIAL’s Class of 2026.

At this stage of his recruitment, Blatt tells PSN that he has three scheduled official visits: Virginia Tech this weekend, Penn State (June 5-7) and North Carolina (June 10).

This is a big change from previous reports of Blatt making official visits to Wisconsin (May 30), Penn State (June 6), and Duke (June 20).

”Those are just the schools I scheduled official visits with,” said Blatt. “Some are still in play, I just have to figure it out but for right now those are my official visits.”

The obvious omission from that list is Pitt, which at this time, looks like they’re on the outside looking in for Blatt. However, Blatt is still deciding on that.

This isn’t an easy decision for Blatt considering he’s received Power 4 offers from Pitt, Duke, Penn State, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Boston College, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Syracuse, UCLA and Virginia.
