Solomon starred at Franklin Regional, accruing 142 wins to just 20 losses. He won the PIAA AAA Title at 138 pounds as a junior in 2021, finished as runner-up at 145 pounds as a senior in 2022 and at 113 pounds as a freshman in 2019 and sectional champ as as a sophomore in 2020.

He wrestled at NC State last season, going 16-3 in his sole season with the program, sustaining a redshirt. He announced his commitment to the Pitt last Wednesday, May 31, and now has signed with the program, making his transfer official.

Solomon will arrive at Pitt with four years left of eligibility. He wrestled at 141 pounds and 149 pounds with the Wolfpack last season and could slide into either weight class in the future.

Redshirt senior Cole Matthews is in his final season of eligibility for Pitt next season at 141 pounds and redshirt junior Tyler Badgett finished with 16-12 record at 149 pounds last season. There is also the potential for him to wrestle at 157 pounds, as starter Dazjon Casto graduated, leaving the starting spot open to compete for heading into next season.

Solomon has four years of eligibility remaining and will immediately be available to wrestle for Pitt. He is the second wrestler to join the program this offseason from another school, with Oklahoma decommit Anthony Santaniello joining Pitt in late May.
