Georgia Sophomore RB Jordan McDonald Visiting Pitt Saturday
This coming Saturday will be a big day for Pitt for a couple different reasons.
First, Pitt needs to beat Miami in order to stay in the hunt for the Coastal Division title. Second, with it being homecoming, they’ll be hosting a number of Important recruits.
This morning, PSN spoke to a talented underclassman that’s making a long trip to come to Pittsburgh.
Sophomore running back Jordan McDonald (6’0”, 200) is coming all the way from Alpharetta, Georgia to be in attendance for the Pitt-Miami game. The other interesting thing to mention is that McDonald just received an offer from Pitt.
McDonald took the time to talk with PSN about his thoughts on Pitt and reason for making his first trip to Pittsburgh.
“I want to visit Pitt because of the programs great history regarding running backs like Tony Dorsett,” said McDonald. “When I visit, I’m looking forward to meeting the coaches in person and to see the atmosphere of the fans. Also, I’m looking forward to being at Heinz Field because the Pittsburgh Steelers are personally my favorite NFL team.”
“I think highly of the program because Pitt is a program building to become a long lasting top program.”

As a player, McDonald describes his style as being a patient running back that’s able to burst through holes to break away from the defenders. He tells me that this early interest from Power 5 programs is his size as a back combined with his agility.
Along with Pitt, McDonald also holds offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Florida and Kentucky and he’s appreciative of the early interest and where his recruitment is headed over the next couple of seasons.
“I started going to recruiting trips as a freshman so I wouldn’t say they’re new to me,” said McDonald. “So far, my farthest trip was to South Florida, which was fun.”
“I’m extremely excited to get the recruiting process started because I get to meet new people and hopefully make great relationships with many different people. With me, I feel blessed about my whole recruiting process because I get to go to many different places that I have never been and I get to just enjoy the overall experience with this whole process.”
Sounds like he’s going to get to meet Tony this weekend. Huge fail if that doesn’t happen.
