Allderdice basketball prospect Trey Schachter added his second division one offer on Tuesday morning, from UC Santa Barbara.

On Tuesday morning, Allderdice basketball guard Trey Schachter added another division one offer to his recruitment.

Schachter posted on Twitter/X saying that he had received an offer from UC Santa Barbara. This offer comes shortly after Schachter shined in the Midwest Live event in Ohio. According to the Allderdice Basketball account, Schachter averaged 20 points in four games, including one game with nine three pointers and 29 points.

“[Schachter] filled it up with over 20 3s in 3 games,” said the account.

Schachter is a 6-foot-3 guard in the class of 2025. He averaged just five points per game last season as a junior, per MaxPreps, but has exploded onto the scene this summer. Schachter reported interest from Green Bay, Iona, Niagara, William & Mary, Chattanooga, UC Santa Barbara, West Liberty, and Williams College to Pittsburgh Sports Now earlier in the summer, and now the Gauchos and as well as the Green Bay Phoenix, led by head coach Doug Gottlieb, have extended offers to him.

Schachter becomes the fifth local player to report at least two division one offers. Tyler Robbins (Upper St. Clair), Ama Tening Sow (Montour), Josh Pratt (Aliquippa), and RJ Sledge (Imani Christian) all hold multiple division one offers. Robbins leads the pack with seven offers at the moment.
