We’re one month from National Letter Of Intent Day and the Pitt coaching staff extended an offer to a recruit that’s already committed to another school.
K’Von Wallace (6-1) is a wide receiver/defensive back from Highland Springs, Virginia and is currently committed to Cincinnati.
He’s now going to have to decide whether to stick with Cincinnati or flip to Pitt.
“I was very excited when I got the call”, said Wallace. “I kind of expected it because they contacted me two weeks ago. My head coach told me to be patient and it would come.”
And he was right, as two members of the Pitt coaching staff talked to Wallace tonight.
“Coach Harley first talked to my head coach and then me. I thanked him and then talked to the position coach (Coach Sherman) who told me that I could be a great asset on the offense as a deep threat. They want to get the ball in my hands”, said Wallace.
Pitt is recruiting Wallace as a wide receiver but he did tell me that Coach Harley told him that he thinks he could “help on defense.”
Wallace told me that he’s now going to have to talk to his mother about his future plans. Will it be Pitt or Cincinnati?
For now, Wallace says that he’s still committed to Cincinnati and that they’re his #1 school. He is going to come to Pittsburgh to give them a chance.
Wallace told me that he’s set up an official visit to Pitt on January 29th.
