I asked this question on Twitter last night and I’ll ask it again. If you plan on attending one of our first two Pitt football Watch Parties at Cupka’s on the South Side, send us a direct message on Twitter (@PghSportsNow) or leave a comment here to let us know. We are hoping for a big turnout and would love to personally meet you and talk and watch Pitt football.

** Kevin Stallings and the Panthers hosted New Jersey guard Matt Turner this weekend and offered him a scholarship. A player that already holds an offer from Pitt will be visiting soon. 2017 SF Aaron Wheeler (6-7, 180) from St. Andrews (Barrington, Rhode Island) tells me that he plans on visiting Pitt in mid September. Wheeler will make the trip once he arrives at school (September 9th).

UPDATE (5:23 AM)-

** Has Beaver Falls DT Donovan Jeter set a decision date? Assuming he’s not playing a “trick” on everyone, Jeter tweeted out this morning that he plans on committing on Halloween. Pat Narduzzi believes this tweet is legit because a little after 5 AM, he retweeted it.

UPDATE (12:05 PM)-

**Another player that Pitt would like to land has announced a commitment date. Philadelphia CB Kenny Bennett announced that he’ll be making his college decision on November 9th.  Pitt is a finalist along with Maryland and Temple.

UPDATE (12:40 PM)-

**Another impressive recruit visiting Duquesne today. Moments ago,  3-star SG Anthony Mack (Blairstown, New Jersey) confirmed to me that he was about to start an unofficial visit to Duquesne. Mack (6-5, 215) holds offers from Duquesne, Drexel, George Mason, Hofstra, Memphis, St. Louis, Niagra and Vermont.  We’ll talk with Mack following his visit.

UPDATE (3:21 PM)-

**Congragulations to Penn Hills 2018 WR Julian Major for picking up an offer today from Paul Chryst and Wisconsin.

UPDATE (6:09 PM) by Alan Saunders-

**Pitt guard Dorian Johnson (Belle Vernon) earned another preseason accolade today, as he was named to ESPN’s preseason All-America team.

He’s one of six representatives of the ACC selected to the squad.
