The fan speculation about Sean Miller eventually becoming Pitt’s next basketball coach can officially stop.
Despite serious allegations by ESPN of Miller being involved in a pay to play scandal involving 5-star recruit DeAndre Austin, The University of Arizona is backing Miller.
Dr. Robbins: “Dave Heeke and I have decided Sean Miller will remain Arizona’s basketball coach.”

In an afternoon press conference, Miller made his first public comments on the ESPN allegations and strongly declared his innocence.

The fact that the University of Arizona is not only retaining Sean Miller but letting him publicly speak in an official capacity in response to the allegations signals the school believes him. If university officials had any doubt, that press conference would have never happened.
